Since
1954
In 1954, the father (Thomas Sappl senior) of the current owner and managing director (Thomas Sappl junior), bought the former guest house “Buchauer”, which you can see in the picture. With great passion and a lot of effort he has converted it to a hotel. This was the beginning of our beloved hotel, run by the Sappl family. Hotel Andreas Hofer was named after the well-known Tyrolean freedom fighter. It always brings a smile to our face, when our guests ask, if Mister Andreas Hofer is in the house. Now as an insider, you know that the hotel is run in thesecond generation by Mister Sappl. Another reason for the hotel’s name is the Andreas Hofer monument on Kufstein’s Calvary, as the statue is exactly orientated in the direction of the hotel.
Run in the
second generation
Thomas Sappl, a passionate travel consultant, runs the hotel together with his wife Sabine Gwirl and his daughter Christina Sappl, who is head of marketing. Together with the Andreas Hofer team we strive to offer you a unique holiday experience at Hotel Andreas Hofer.
